About Mary Ellen Landolfi
In 7th grade, I wanted to be Stephen King. Yes, I am that sort of writer.
I was involved in all the activities one expects from an aspiring young writer – yearbook, school newspaper, literary magazine. Practically lived in the college newspaper office.
But by college graduation, my fondness for storytelling was linked to a genuine fascination with how businesses worked, thrived and survived. My professional writing career began at a regional magazine, but I soon landed in the realm of business and industry journalism, working as a reporter and then a senior editor for a renowned downstream petroleum news and publishing company. (It was more exciting than it sounds.)
I launched a freelance writing and editing career several years ago and found that businesses of all sizes could benefit from my business reporter’s instincts, research techniques and writing skills.
On a personal note, I’m a native of Red Bank, NJ, a married mother of three, and a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore. I’m involved in several business and professional organizations in Central New Jersey, including Monmouth County Chamber of Commerce, Navesink Business Group, Monmouth County Referral Group, Colts Neck Business Association, and Liberty States Fiction Writers. There are few things I enjoy more than live music, a good book or a strong cup of coffee.
